Gouache nuggets:
tribute to brilliant jewelry designers
FOREWORD
This exhibition is called "Gouache nuggets" because the jewelry designs that you will discover through it are painted with a technique called "gouaché". At the beginning of the creation of a jewel, there is an idea that will materialize under the brushstrokes of the designer. It is his mission to make it possible to imagine what will look like the final jewel which will be made of precious metal and gemstones.
Gouache was used - and still is - in many jewelry houses because this painted design accompanies each step of the manufacturing process. It is used by gemologists, model makers, setters, etc. It is the combined work of all these disciplines that results in brilliant wonders.
"Gouache nuggets" is a tribute to the jewelry designers, often unknown to the general public, who are at the origin of works of art sold by the biggest jewelry houses in the world such as Tiffany & Co, Cartier, Boucheron, Van Cleef and Arpels, Chaumet and others.

MEET THE ARTIST
JEWELRY BY ED
Always passionate about drawing, I recently returned to this first passion. I discovered jewelry design at the start of 2020 and I trained myself until I ended up with this "Gouache nuggets" exhibition. My plan is to continue making this type of drawing, but this time with personal creations, to provide tailor-made visuals that fit the demands of my future clients. If you want to place an order with me, you can contact me through the message box at the bottom of the page, so that we can discuss your future creation.
